There was no time when we didn’t have to say “in short, Burma” when pronouncing “Myanmar”. And actually also we fell into misunderstanding before organizing the trip to this country that is increasingly opening its doors to tourism.
Although Myanmar is a less convenient destination than other destinations in Southeast Asia, however, a journey through its temples, its people and its uncontaminated nature leaves an indelible mark: compared to other Asian countries, in fact, Myanmar will it is later open to tourism and still has that genuine charm able to excite any traveler.
The advice is to visit it as soon as possible: on our arrival (August 2016), the first signs of an imminent tourist boom were beginning to emerge between luxury hotels under construction and restaurant openings from the intercontinental cuisine.
The trip to Myanmar has brought us back to the origins and simplicity: to be happy, after all, just a smile (and a plate of rice!).
